Application Guidelines for Grade 7 Admission Academic Year 2025-2026

WHAT IS THE UPRHS ENTRANCE EXAMINATION?

The UP Rural High School Entrance Examination is a 3-hour and 20-minute comprehensive examination on the following areas: Mathematics, Filipino, Science, and English.

For admission in the Academic Year 2025-2026, the UPRHS Entrance Examination shall be given only on January 25, 2025 (Saturday), in two sessions: morning (8:00am – 12:00nn), or afternoon (1:00pm – 5:00pm). The venue of the exam is at the UP Rural High School, Brgy. Paciano Rizal, Bay, Laguna. 

NOTE: NO OTHER DATE IS SCHEDULED FOR THE EXAMINATION.

WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO TAKE THE UPRHS ENTRANCE EXAMINATION?

Qualified to apply for admission to UPRHS are students who have:

  1. completed grade 6, or are candidates for elementary school graduation as of the end of  the Academic Year 2024-2025; 
  2. not previously applied for admission to UPRHS;
  3. not attended high school; and
  4. submitted all documents required for processing of the application.

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE APPLICATION FORM FILED?

Application is open from November 4 to December 13, 2024, via AAF1 Google Form. Only applicants who have submitted a complete set of requirements on or before the deadline shall be accepted for processing. 

NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS FILED IN SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION BECOME THE PROPERTY
OF UP RURAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

STEP 1: Complete and Submit the Application Forms Online (Deadline: December 13, 2024)

  • Certified True Copy of Permanent School Record (Form 137 or SF 10) indicating Grade 5 final grades and Grade 6 1st Quarter grades 
  • Certificate of Employment (if parent is a UPLB employee)

STEP 2: Pay Application Fee and Claim Test Permit (Period: November 18, 2024 – January 17, 2025)

  • You will receive an email confirming that you have successfully completed STEP 1. Please bring the following items and proceed to Room MB 204 at UP Rural High School, Brgy. Paciano Rizal, Bay, Laguna, on the designated date and time mentioned in the email:
    • A non-refundable application fee:
      • Php350.00 for Filipino applicants
      • Php700.00 or its equivalent in US dollars for foreign nationals/resident aliens
      • Note: Filipino applicants whose family has a combined annual gross income of Php 120,000 or less are exempt from paying the application fee. To avail of this exemption, they must submit a Certificate of Indigency.
    • Two (2) identical recent 2”x 2” photographs
  • Claim your test permit.

STEP 3: Take the UPRHS Entrance Examination (January 25, 2025)

  • Bring the following:
    • Test permit fully accomplished and signed by the examinee;
    • Two (2) well-sharpened pencils, an eraser, and a sharpener; and
    • Light snacks and drinking water.
  • Be at your respective examination room 30 minutes before exam time.

STEP 4: Check Application Results

The results will be released on or before March 7, 2025. Applicants shall be notified through email. For announcements, visit the UP Rural High School FB Page (@uprhsofficial) and the UPRHS Website (uprhs.uplb.edu.ph).

REMINDERS TO APPLICANTS:

  1. Every applicant must be in their respective examination room 30 minutes before the time specified in the test permit.                                
  2. Applicants are also advised to bring their snacks with them as they enter the examination room. Once the examination has started, examinees will NOT be allowed to go out except for personal necessities. Likewise, NO snack pack will be received for them while exams are going on.

NOTES TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS:

  1. Applicants with contagious diseases (such as covid & with covid-like symptoms, chicken pox, measles, mumps, etc.) will not be allowed to take the examination.
  2. Parents/guardians will not be allowed to stay on the UPRHS Grounds while the examination is ongoing. They are requested to leave the area 30 minutes before the start of the examination.
