UPRHS Validation Examination 2025

WHAT IS THE UPRHS VALIDATION EXAMINATION?

The UP Rural High School (UPRHS) Validation Examination is a 1-day examination given to qualified applicants interested in transferring to UPRHS for Academic Year 2025 – 2026.

• For Grade 8 Applicants: It covers the following subject areas taken in Grade 7: Araling Panlipunan, English, Literature, Filipino, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education-Health-Music, and Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao.
• For Grade 11 Applicants: It covers the following subject areas taken in Grades 7 to Grade 10: Araling Panlipunan, English, Literature, Filipino, Mathematics, and Science.

The UPRHS Validation Examination will be held at UP Rural High School, Paciano Rizal, Bay, Laguna. The schedules are as follows:

• For Grade 8 Applicants: Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm
• For Grade 11 Applicants: Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon

NOTE: NO OTHER DATE IS SCHEDULED FOR THE EXAMINATION.

WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO TAKE THE UPRHS VALIDATION EXAMINATION? 

Qualified to take the UPRHS Validation Examination (Grade 8) are applicants who: 

1. have completed Grade 7 in any public or private high school recognized by the government as of the end of the Academic Year 2024-2025 
2. belong to the upper 25% of the batch as of the end of the Academic Year 2024-2025; and
3. have submitted ALL accomplished forms.

Qualified to take the UPRHS Validation Examination (Grade 11) are applicants who: 

1. have completed Grade 10 in any public or private high school recognized by the government as of the end of the Academic Year 2024-2025; 
2. belong to the upper 25% of the batch as of the end of the Academic Year 2024-2025; and
3. have submitted ALL accomplished forms.

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE APPLICATION FORM FILED?

Application is open from February 3 to May 3, 2025 via Google Form. Only applicants who have submitted a complete set of requirements on or before the deadline shall be accepted for processing.

NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS FILED IN SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION BECOME THE  PROPERTY OF UP RURAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

STEP 1: Complete and Submit the Application Forms Online (Deadline: May 3, 2025)

• Certificate of Employment (if the parent is a UPLB employee)
• Certificate of Enrolment for AY 2024-2025

• For Grade 8 Applicants:
  • Validation Application Form for Grade 8 (VAF8) Link: https://bit.ly/VAF8-2025
  • Certificate of Grade 7 Rank for AY 2024-2025. Please indicate the following information:
    • that the applicant belongs to the Upper 25% of the batch as of the end of the Academic Year 2024-2025  
    • the rank of the applicant out of a total number of Grade 7 students in the school (e.g., rank 5 out of 100 students)
• For Grade 11 Applicants:
  • Validation Application Form for Grade 11 (VAF11) Link: https://bit.ly/VAF11-2025
  • Certificate of Grade 10 Rank for AY 2024-2025. Please indicate the following information:
    • that the applicant belongs to the Upper 25% of the batch as of the end of the Academic Year 2024-2025
    • the rank of the applicant out of the total number of Grade 10 students in the school (e.g. rank 5 out of 100 students)

STEP 2: Pay Application Fee and Claim Test Permit (Period: May 5 – 9, 2025)

• A non-refundable Application Fee of Php350.00 for Filipinos or Php700.00 or its equivalent in US dollars for foreign nationals/resident aliens. Note: Filipino applicants whose family has a combined annual gross income of Php 120,000 or less are exempt from paying the application fee. To avail of this exemption, they must submit a Certificate of Indigency.
• Two (2) identical recent 2”x 2” photographs
• Claim your Test Permit at UPRHS MB 204.

STEP 3: Take the UPRHS Validation Examination (May 13, 2025- Grade 8 12:30 pm – 5:00 pm, Grade 11 7:00 am – 12:00 noon)

• Bring the following:
  • Test permit fully accomplished and signed by the examinee;
  • Two (2) well-sharpened pencils, an eraser, and a sharpener; and
  • Light snacks and drinking water.
• Be at your respective examination room 30 minutes before exam time

STEP 4: Check Application Results

The results will be released on or before May 19, 2025. Applicants shall be notified through email. For announcements, visit the UP Rural High School FB Page (@uprhsofficial) and the UPRHS Website (uprhs.uplb.edu.ph).

REMINDERS TO APPLICANTS:

1. Every applicant must be in their respective examination room 30 minutes before the time specified in the email.
2. Applicants are also advised to bring their snacks with them as they enter the examination room. Once the examination has started, examinees will NOT be allowed to go out except for personal necessities. Likewise, NO snack pack will be received for them while tests are going on.

NOTES TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS:

1. Applicants with contagious diseases (such as COVID-19 & COVID-like symptoms, chicken pox, measles, mumps, etc.) will not be allowed to take the examination.
2. Parents/guardians will not be allowed to stay within the school premises while the examination is ongoing. They are requested to leave the area 30 minutes before the start of the examination.
