Mission and Vision

Mission
To make efficient rules and policies, embrace appropriate technologies and processes in ensuring safety and sustainable development of the student body:

  • have a stand in social transformation;
  • promote the welfare of the students;
  • contribute to the upgrading of the quality of basic education and management practices in the country;
  • prepare students for entry in the UP System and other highly recognized tertiary institutions.
Vision
A supreme student organization that assumes a role in the development and governance of the students as an active, responsible, informative, and participative & partner of the faculty and staff in formulating programs, activities and strategies in inspiring the whole student body.

The Ruralite (TR – The Official Student Publication of UPRHS)

Objectives

The Ruralite shall:

  • spearhead the publication of The Ruralite, the official student publication of UP Rural High School;
  • purposefully advocate social, political, cultural, and economic awareness and growth by promoting issues deemed relevant to all;
  • conduct various journalism-related activities that prove beneficial to the school and community;
  • practice and inculcate among its members the Journalist’s Code of Ethics;
  • maintain academic excellence and school aspirations in an honorable, professional, and honest demeanor;
  • continuously tap and hone the journalistic skills and expertise of students;
  • work with other school organizations and establish constant links with the alumni in pursuit of the club’s objectives;
  • represent the student body in the SG-Appointed Core Committee (consisting of the school club heads) concerning student welfare.

Filipino Agricultural Scientists of Tomorrow
(FAST)

Mission and Vision

Mission
The Filipino Agricultural Scientists of Tomorrow aims to:

  • develop teamwork and strengthen camaraderie among students bound together by a common interest in Agriculture;
  • promote appreciation of the various fields of Agriculture not only within the school but also in the nearby communities; and
  • develop skills necessary in making agricultural technologies accessible to the people.

Vision
The Filipino Agricultural Scientists of Tomorrow (FAST) is a student organization of UP Rural High School bound together by a common goal of promoting agriculture by bridging agricultural innovations to the people.

Home Economics Club (HE)

Mission and Vision

Mission
The Home Economics Club aims to:

  • provide a venue and bring everyone together where they can share common interests focused on arts appreciation, family management, and home economics, among others and broaden their perspective on these matters;
  • inspire members to be their best selves and conduct themselves properly and be socially responsible at all times, (Social responsibility is an ethical framework in which a person works and cooperates with other people and organizations for the benefit of the community-Wikipedia).

Vision
HE club envisions to be a safe space where members share and bond together, while broadening their knowledge and perspective about home economics, becoming the best versions of themselves.

Speech and Dramatics Club (SDC)

Mission
The Speech and Dramatics Club shall:

  • enrich students’ competencies in communication and performance;
  • foster critical thinking, creative expression, and social awareness;
  • amplify students’ individual and collective voices to build a sense of community and create social change; and
  • contribute to the development of literature, art, and the Philippine culture.

Samahang Diwa at Panitik (SDP – JHS)

Misyon at Bisyon

Misyon
Hinahangad ng Samahang Diwa at Panitik na malinang sa mga kasapi at iba pang mag-aaral ang sumusunod:

  • maunlad na kaalaman at kasanayan sa wika at panitikan
  • pamumunong may integridad, paninindigan, malasakit, paggalang, at may pagkiling sa kapakanan ng higit na nakararami
  • maayos na organisasyon ng mga gawain at programang pangwika, pampanitikan, at pangkultura
  • pagpapahalaga sa Filipinong identidad at kultura
  • kamalayan at kritikal na paninindigan sa mga isyu at usaping pangwika, pampanitikan, pangkultura, at pambansa

Bisyon
Ang Samahang Diwa at Panitik ay magsisilbi bilang malikhaing daluyan ng kamalayan at kritikal na pagpapahalaga sa wika, panitikan, kultura, at lipunang Filipino tungo sa panlipunang kamalayan at pagkilos ng mga mag-aaral ng Mataas na Paaralang Rural ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas.

Filipiniana Dance Troupe (FDT)

Mission and Vision

Mission
The UPRHS Filipiniana Dance Troupe aims to mold young Filipino artists in the field of dance into leaders in the preservation and promotion of the Filipino culture through the study of Philippine folk dances.

Vision
The UPRHS Filipiniana Dance Troupe envisions itself as a medium for creating cultural awareness among UPRHS students.

The Polis (UPRHS – JHS Debate Society)

Mission and Vision

Mission
The Polis shall:

  • strengthen students’ communication skills geared toward effective argumentation;
  • inculcate critical thinking to deepen students’ understanding and evaluation of social issues; and
  • promote the practice of logical reasoning to combat disinformation.

Vision
The Polis shall be a supportive and collaborative community of young individuals committed to learning the art of debate to promote the principles of truth, critical thinking, free speech, and responsible civic participation in an information-plagued society.

UPRHS Glee Club

Mission and Vision

Mission
The UPRHS Glee Club is the official high school singing choir group of University of the Philippines. The group has the urge to provide a competitive and comprehensive training program for potential and promising singers that will represent the school in various competitions and activities; strengthen values of discipline, responsibility, and team building.

Vision
Through pursuing the excellence in performing choral music, the UPRHS Glee Club is entrusted to enhancing and promoting the singing talents of the students. Choristers are committed to engage in evocative and high-quality musical experiences.

UPRHS Samahan ng mga Pintor (USaP)

Mission and Vision

Mission
The USaPintor is a UPRHS JHS Student Organization for art enthusiasts that will:

  • provide students with an art experience that will enhance their art education,
  • expose students with opportunities to express themselves through the creation of artworks,
  • promote appreciation of the various art expressions and creativity, and
  • give back to Mutyang Rural and the community, using the members’ artistic abilities.

Vision
The UPRHS Samahan ng mga Pintor (USaPintor) is committed to providing a conducive and safe space and environment for students where they can learn and explore the arts in a supportive and encouraging setting. The USaPintor will focus on the positive attributes that each student will contribute to the club.

The UPRHS Sports Club aims to:The UPRHS Junior Peers is a socio-civic volunteer organization that carries the purpose of aiding fellow students in enhancing self-awareness, boosting self- esteem, cultivating responsibility, offering emotional and social support, and fostering an environment of mutual assistance. The organization consists of dedicated members known as “Peers” who actively engage in different activities, programs, and projects aiming to promote a variety of advocacies and values for the betterment of the well-being of the entire student body.

Ang Samahang Diwa at Panitik – SHS ay may misyon na hubugin ang kaalaman, kakayahan, talento at paniniwala ng bawat mag-aaral upang patuloy na makapag-ambag, makapagbahagi at makapaglingkod sa sining, sa paaralan, sa mas malawak na komunidad at sa bayan sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng mga pagkakataon, gawain at proyektong interdisiplinaryo na magpapaunawa sa papel na ginagampanan ng wika, sining, panitikan at kultura sa mabilis na nagbabagong daigdig.
